Tools to Transform Your Community
The National Church Adopt-a-School Initiative equips church leaders and volunteers with the necessary tools to conduct community outreach programs scalable to each church or organizational size. We do this through various levels of training:
- Church and School Partnership Training
- Comprehensive Social Outreach Training
- Starting a School-Based Mentoring Program
- Developing a Social Outreach Ministry (college course)
Church and School Partnership Training
Our Most Popular Training Module is a six-hour workshop offering pastors and church leaders the building blocks for starting or enhancing the delivery of social services to urban youth and their families. Participants will receive an overview of the process for adopting public schools and creating programs, including school-based mentoring, to meet the vast needs of public school youth and their families.

- How to develop partner relations
- Strategic outreach blueprints
- Resourcing the vision

Comprehensive Social Outreach Training
Our comprehensive three-day course provides the theological, social and organizational foundation to creating effective social outreach ministries for any community in America. More specifically, churches learn the practical steps for adopting public schools and developing effective programs to meet the needs of students and families living in distressed communities and/or situations. Participants are given a step-by-step process to build healthy, sustainable organizations. Participants also receive our comprehensive training curriculum and CD that incudes all necessary samples, forms, and legal paperwork required for a sustainable community outreach program.

- Comprehensive outreach curriculum
- DVD of the kingdom agenda ministry philosophy by Tony Evans
- A complimentary copy of the book The Kingdom Agenda
- Data CD containing editable administrative and program forms
- Free 1-800 consultation on an as-needed basis
Starting a School-Based
Mentoring Program
This independant-learning seminar offers you the opportunity to gain the tools you need at the pace and location convenient to you. The accompanying Mentor Training Manual and Course DVD provides the necessary elements for developing or improving your own mentoring program. Key areas include: Training, Recruitment, Orientation, Screening, Management and Mentor Evaluation.
